DIY Riverlands Red Barn Wedding | Kari & Luke
Kari & Luke had the most incredible DIY Riverlands Red Barn wedding, in Pemberton back in September. This day was a dream to photograph. Kari had a vision, and that vision was epic. An incredibly detail orientated individual, Kari took it upon herself, to create all the decor herself. A truly epic DIY wedding, that she executed perfectly.
I had so much fun getting to know these two over the past year. After much chat over the ideas and concepts they’d envisioned, it was amazing to see it come to life. She purchased vintage furniture to create an outdoor living room, perfect for those ‘Annie Leibovitz’ styled group photos, not only for the bridal party, but for the family formals too. Kari put together the most incredible cheese and charcuterie tables together for the guests to graze on during cocktail hour. They were so pretty, it was hard to see the food get eaten, as they were works of art on their own. Kari spent months creating an 8 foot flower wall, perfect for her photo booth set up. A dessert table full of Argentinian chocolate, a beautiful cake and freshly made doughnuts by Lisa of The Flour Pot, to satisfy your sugar needs. Over 300 terrariums were strung from the ceiling of the barn, to hold candles over the tables. Gosh, I could just go on.
These two also know how to party. Being invited to stay after I finished was beyond tempting. It was such an incredible crew of people, and they sure knew how to have fun. Honestly, if there was an easy way for me to get home that night and return to my vehicle the next day, I would have stayed. Grateful for clients like this, that ultimately make me feel like a friend.
