Whistler Proposal

Back at the end of October, I got a phone call from a wonderful man, Hasan, who was planning to propose to his girlfriend during their trip to Whistler. He wanted me to photograph the moment as well as do a little engagement session after. Not being from here, Hasan asked me for some ideas on where it should go down. I went for several dog walks, snapped some phone shots of different locations and sent them to Hasan for him to select a location of which he envisioned for the moment he got down on one knee.

I got down to the dock at Lost Lake, dog in tow as a decoy, camera hidden under my jacket and waited for the arrival of Allie and Hasan. I’ve never witnessed a proposal before. Sheesh, talk about tear jerker. I’ve gotten soft over the past few years. Of course Allie said yes. Seeing as Allie is a wedding photographer based out of Denver, it was pretty nerve racking for me at the beginning. But they were just the sweetest couple and was so honoured to be there to capture this awesome moment for them.
