From the Chateau to the Summit

There are weddings, and then there are Whistler weddings—the kind that take your breath away with the incredible scenery, big trees and mountain peaks. Chelsea was born and raised in this mountain town, so there was no better place to say “I do” than in the heart of her childhood home, on top of Blackcomb Mountain.

The day began at the iconic Fairmont Chateau Whistler, a venue that perfectly balances timeless elegance with alpine charm. Nestled at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, the Chateau’s majestic architecture and forested surroundings set a romantic tone.

Reception at the Rendezvous on Blackcomb Mountain

As the ceremony wrapped, guests boarded the Blackcomb Gondola for a ride up to The Rendezvous Lodge—a hidden gem perched high on Blackcomb Mountain. If the views at the Chateau were spectacular, the mountaintop reception venue was truly next-level.

Surrounded by panoramic vistas of the Coast Mountains and the lush Whistler Valley below, the Rendezvous offered the kind of setting that makes you pause and take it all in. The space was beautifully transformed by the talented Bliss + Events team.

There is no place I find more beautiful to watch the sun set than on the top of a mountain. And what a sunset we had!

A Celebration of Love and Place

What made this wedding so unforgettable wasn’t just the views or the venue (though both were incredible). It was the deep sense of place, her connection to the land and mountains. This wasn’t just a destination wedding—it was a homecoming. A celebration of love and legacy, family and the wild places that raise us. That, and the incredible couple that these two are. They truly are beautiful on the inside. Kind, supporting, joyful, and so so in love. They make those around them feel as though they are part of their close circle. Working with people such as them, is truly a blessing.
