Tofino

This past weekend I went to Tofino to second shoot for a friend, and someone I’ve looked up to for many years, Marnie Recker. I’m pretty stoked that I get to have a mini vacation in my favorite place, doing what I love, photographing, learning and ultimately walking away with growth every time (many photos to blog at a later date).

I lucked out hugely this time, getting epic weather. Sunshine, heat, and waves, plus getting the opportunity to catch up with people I adore. Not only did I get to catch up with my friends from town, but my dear friend Ryan, who was one of my classmates at Western Academy of Photography, came up for the day to nerd out, bask in the sun, and get tossed around in the surf with me. This post is of many silly photos, as well as the beauty that is Tofino. And yes, these are self portraits. When you venture on your own to the island, you need to get thrifty, and turn that camera around on yourself sometimes.

Super sweet, amazing, tiring, smile evoking, magical weekend, filled with so many things that make me happy. Thanks for being awesome Tuff City. My home away from home. You never disappoint.
