Sitka Farms Elopement | Squamish
Word on the street, is there’s a new wedding venue in town. By town, I mean Squamish. A 20 minute drive up the Squamish Valley, you’ll find the newest wedding venue, Sitka Farms. This property is on 7 acres, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and cascading waterfalls down rocky cliffs. An old rustic barn is perfect for the dance party, or a smaller reception. The field has ample room for a large event tent, or a long, farm table dinner. A beautiful, mossy forest lies behind the open green space, and a 10 minute walk through the forest, takes you the river. I mean, it’s a pretty awesome venue.
Back in October, on a moody autumn day, a few Sea to Sky wedding vendors put together this bohemian styled Sitka Farms elopement shoot to showcase some ideas you can do with this property. While this property has plenty of room for large weddings, it’s also pretty great for a small intimate affair too. I love how this venue is so perfectly suited for this super cute 1972 vintage Caravan bar, Ramblin Rose Bar & Company. Sit back and relax, while Jules will whip you up some thirst quenching cocktails for you and your guests.
Sitka Farms has plenty of room too if you want to set up one, or many of Wild Havens awesome canvas tents. I had one of these for our own elopement. From our own experience, they are spacious, incredibly waterproof, and they make for awesome photos too. Laura & Rich will do the install and tear down of these, so you can spend more time focusing on other parts of your celebrations.
Ceremony wise, you could set up on the green space with those beautiful mountain views, within the forest for a true pacific north west feel or on the deck of the barn. Take a stroll to the river later for portraits.
Catering wise, this property would be awesome to have your favourite food trucks, or of course the ever popular caterer, The Collective Kitchen.
