This might have been one of my favourite Pemberton Engagement sessions to date. Pemberton has truly become an incredibly popular spot for weddings over the years. I’ve been lucky enough to shoot so many of them in this special community. When Rachel & Jesse reached out about their wedding that they’ll be having on his families farm, I was elated. Getting to meet them for their engagement session a few weeks back, got me even more excited for what’s to come. They are fun, adorable, and so down to earth, and I know their wedding is going to be incredible.
Why do a Pemberton Engagement Session?
This area has no doubt gotten more popular over the years. It really is a beautiful valley. Mt. Currie is the perfect backdrop, and of course so many want the beauty of the valley’s landscapes to be setting the scene. Only thing, locations can be tricky. The majority of the land is indeed private, so finding the perfect locations can be limiting. The lookout that everyone uses, is indeed privately owned, so know there is always the risk of being kicked off. Farm fields? They are stunning, but without consent, you can’t really just show up and use them. There are spots, but they are limiting.
We chose this particular location as it looks down on the valley that Jesse grew up. That and the lighting near sun down is beautiful, as well as the mountain views. We did get some haze from a nearby wildfire, but heck, as much as smoke sucks, it does look pretty in photos. This day in particular was HOT! It felt like we were somewhere in the tropics. Muggy and extremely warm, but these too took it like champs. I mean, they do live there after all lol.
