Sunwolf Wedding | Lil & Matt

Sunwolf. Gosh, this venue is seriously a dream. This summer was full of beautiful weddings and celebrations. I have so many I want to blog, I don’t even know where to start. I figured since this is one of my favorite venues, why not start here with this amazing Sunwolf Wedding.

I met Lil & Matt at a wedding last year. These two called Whistler home once upon a time, but made the move to Australia some years ago. They decided to have their wedding at Sunwolf, in beautiful Squamish, close to where it all began for them.

Sunwolf has a very rustic yet chic feel about it. Wild Haven’s bell tents were put up, to offer more accommodation for their guests. Lil wore a simple, beautiful lace dress (with shoulder pads, amazing). A beautiful hand made bouquet by Lil’s sister. The decor was simple, yet elegant. Mix matched vintage plates, simple mason jars as vases, and a photo of each guest at their seats. Everything thoughtfully put together.

The day started with Lil and her girls, hiking the Chief. I was so elated to hear that this is how she chose to start her day. With some sweat, burning calves, and one heck of a view. There were so many wonderful moments throughout this day. Lil was laughing and grinning from ear to ear as she walked down the aisle with her dad. Jeremy leading a beautiful and meaningful ceremony as always, with readings from Shantaram, their favorite novel (and mine). Heartfelt and hilarious speeches, entertaining dance performances from the kids, and just a generally laid back and wonderful vibe about the whole day. A lot of laughter, and whole lot of love.
