Autumn Wedding, Nita Lake Lodge | Rachel & Dan
Back in early October, this incredible autumn wedding took place at the always beautiful Nita Lake Lodge. We were blessed with perfect weather, blue skies, and great temperatures. Dan hails from the amazing country, New Zealand, and Rachel from back east in Ontario. These two have recently re-settled in Vancouver, making the Pacific North West their chosen home.
The day was elegant and modern. Stunning florals and a beautiful pampas grass installation was created by Lisa-Marie of Roam and Forage Floral. The beautifully decorated ballroom by Carlee of Pocketful Productions, bringing Rachel & Dan’s vision to life. Stylish mix-matched bridesmaids dresses, that I honestly just want to go by for myself.
They have the most adorable dog, Wallace, that of course was included in the day. Fur babes are important, and I love when they get to tag along for the ceremony and of course some portraits with their people.
One thing I loved, is when everyone went to sit for dinner, Rachel & Dan were at the doors of the ballroom, greeting, hugging and thanking each of their loved ones as they went to take their seat.
After the Hora took place, The Hairfarmers took the stage to get the party started. Nothing like a good band to get everyone on the dance floor.
Autumn weddings have definitely become my favourite and this one was spectacular in all the ways. Thank you so much Rachel & Dan for inviting me along to capture this day for you. I felt so welcomed by you and all of your family and friends.
