Pemberton Wedding | North Arm Farm | Anna & Adam
Anna & Adam are two of the loveliest people. Both adventurous and outdoorsy people, they chose to have a Pemberton wedding, to take advantage of the stunning views and natural surroundings. I hadn’t had the opportunity to meet these two in person. Just a quick phone call to chat about the logistics, and that was it. From the moment I walked in the door, these two welcomed us with arms wide open.
The day started off honouring Anna’s heritage, with Chinese door games and a tea ceremony, which I loved. After, they went to different rooms in the house to switch into their wedding attire. Given that Anna was the only one who knew how to tie a bow tie, we blindfolded Adam, so she could put the finishing touches of his outfit together. They jumped in a van, Adam still blindfolded, and headed to their first look, nestled along the shoreline of one of Whistler’s lakes. From there we left for North Arm Farm in Pemberton, for an incredibly fun wedding.
The weather was on our side for the most part, given that the sky could have opened up at any moment. We got through the ceremony and family photos, before the rain began. And did it come down for awhile! Anna and Adam didn’t seem to show any care in the world for the rain. They just continued about the day with laughter and joy. Easy going, chill people these two are, which is definitely the kind of clients I love! After dinner and the first round of speeches, the sky began to open again, allowing us to sneak out into the field for a few more portraits to take advantage of a bit of the late sun that was trying to peak through the storm clouds.
Anna changed into a wicked white jumpsuit for the dance party. Knowing the curfew at North Arm Farm is early, these two had an after party all lined up, which I thought was SO smart.
I always tell people that the best thing you can do for photos is just to have fun, and these two nailed it. Thanks again for having us Anna & Adam. So grateful to be apart.
