Nita Lake Engagement Session |Ali & Dave
Ah, those warm summer nights we all love so much.
Ali and Dave met me last July for their engagement session. Dave has a family cabin in Whistler, that was passed down from his grandparents. I met them there to meet their two cats, one of them a new kitten named Nita, which they named after the lake down the street. It’s a meaningful location for them both, and the perfect spot to celebrate their engagement.
It was an absolutely beautiful evening. We walked to Nita Lake together and timed the session perfectly around the setting sun. At the end of their session, Ali had the brilliant idea of going for a dip in the warm lake, fully clothed, which I honestly loved. The both of them absolutely soaked, we walked back to their cabin, to finish the session getting cozy by the propane fire. We sipped on craft beer, and chatted about their wedding plans for this coming summer, and I’ll say, it is going to be a stunner. They rented Joffre Lakes cabin as well as the airstream for getting ready photos and the first look. Followed by their wedding ceremony and reception that will take place at North Arm Farm. The ideas and plans so far are pretty unreal, and I’m very much looking forward to celebrating with them again come September.
