Papaya Wellness, Surf & Yoga Retreat | Nicaragua

Nicaragua…. such an incredible getaway to friends who made the move down to Central America many years ago. 2 weeks of surf, sun, cold cervezas, and lazing by the pool.

India & Carly created their business Papaya Wellness, 5 years ago. I was lucky enough to join in on the first of half of their surf, yoga retreat. It took place at a beautiful villa in Hacienda Iguana. Mornings started to an energized yoga class, followed by a beautiful breakfast created by India’s mamacita, Rhani. Retreat goers are so lucky to have 3 nutritious and incredibly delicious meals cooked for them each day by this awesome sauce of a woman. Afternoons include a surf lesson, time to laze by the pool, catch up on your book, soak in a little vacation mode. Every other day would have a different activity to partake on, whether it be a short hike to catch some views, or a day trip to San Juan Del Sur. Shortly before sunset, a restorative yoga class to unwind before dinner. I wish I could have stayed for the duration of it all, but I am super thankful to have seen a bit of what these ladies have to offer, as well as get a glimpse into their beautiful way of life.
